Focus

Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

Focus does not collect, sell, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

What Focus does

Focus is a Chrome extension that blocks every website that is not on a list of allowed sites you create, while Focus mode is turned on.

Information we collect

None. Focus has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect personal information, browsing history, or usage data, and we cannot see what you do in your browser.

Information stored on your device

To work, Focus saves the following in your browser’s local extension storage, on your own device only:

This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. Removing the extension deletes it.

Why Focus needs access to websites

Focus runs a small script on web pages so it can compare the site you are visiting with your allowed list and show a “Blocked by Focus” screen when a site is not on it. This check uses only the page’s address (hostname) and happens entirely inside your browser. Focus does not read, copy, store, or transmit page content, form entries, or your browsing history.

Site icons

The small icons shown next to the sites in your lists are provided by your browser’s built-in favicon feature. Focus does not send these requests to any server of its own.

Third parties

Focus does not use third-party services, analytics, advertising networks, or remote code. We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.

Children’s privacy

Because Focus collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
